Using the API

• • You must hold an active account with verified email and a valid API token.
• • Tokens are scoped; use `ifta.read` for IFTA data. You are responsible for keeping tokens secret.
• • Rate limits: 10 requests per minute per user/IP for data routes. Exceeding limits may return HTTP 429.

Acceptable use

• • Do not scrape, resell, or sublicense Truker data without permission.
• • Do not attempt to disrupt service, bypass controls, or probe other users’ data.
• • Notify us promptly of suspected credential compromise or abuse.

Data accuracy

Truker sources rates from the official IFTA tax matrix. We strive for accuracy but provide the API “as is”; you are responsible for validating outputs before filing or billing.

Availability

We aim for high uptime but may perform maintenance or suspend access to protect the service. Scheduled imports run weekly; delays may occur if upstream data changes.

Termination

We may suspend or revoke tokens for abuse, security risk, or unpaid accounts. You may stop using the API at any time; delete tokens or request account closure to remove access.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed, Truker is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from API use. Liability is limited to the fees you paid for the 3 months preceding a claim.
